The San Diego County District Attorney's office lists some common types of real estate fraud.
Fraudulent real estate investment schemes
Forged escrow instructions
Straw buyers purchasing homes
Forging recorded documents including grant deeds
Real estate identity theft.
Stealing equity using fraudulent real estate rescue programs.
If you suspect that you have been a victim of Real Estate Fraud or know of this type of activity you can report it to the District Attorney's office.
